What kind of patch are you proposing, though?
The armbands are a genius idea, and I'm getting one of those for sure.

One thing I like is that the Common Wealth guys all have the matching maroon colored t-shirts. That's a random idea. Not free of course, but...depending on who you get to print them and how much popularity they produce, you might be able to turn a slight profit for other items.

Also easily replicable as we saw last year. Germans had shirts of the same color made to try and fool the Commonwealth.
So, lets go with black? Black is so german... not to be racist or anything...

Or pull a prank they used at Red Dawn. The UN tank that said "UN sucks!" poorly spraypainted on the side. It got far behind enemy lines until the Russians realised they were being shot at...

After many months of procrastinating, I am pleased to announce that I have acquired 4 iCom VHF radios for the 4th to use this year. I purchased them newly refurbished from Risken with batteries, speaker mics, antennas, and charging stations. The funds came from the armband sales from 08.

Where does this put us now?

1. The funds do not currently allow for a full armband purchase. However, I will front the money so that we will be able to afford another 200 armbands for this year. At last count, I think that there were about 20 left over from 08. I expect that to be plenty.

2. The division funds cannot support the support vehicle. However, everyone will be solicited for donations to reimburse those that are bearing the cost, inconvenience, and risk of transporting and loaning us this equipment.
If you use it and have a couple extra bucks, I would highly recommend not buying that cool patch from a vendor and donate it to the support vehicle fund.

Expect more news to come. We're down to less than 5 months til game day. Time to shake off the rust!

Is there a way to collect donations for the 4th ID?

Also, did the resupply vehicle issues ever get resolved? If not, I may have something we can use.

Scott, I have already planned for the item that you refer too, to be used in that capacity on game day. Up until that point, it is for us to use as needed.

In other words, take me to the shower, breakfast, vending area and so on!! LOL!

Donations for the 4th, specifically the site stuff, can be made through the forums by clicking the donate button. Donations for specific things can be made by sending money to my paypal account with a note as to what it is so I can keep track.

I would not recommend donating through the donate now button.
My recommendation would be for the forums to be moved to a new host whenever the domain expires.
Freeforums is becoming more and more restrictive on what they allow; part of the reason I am having such
a difficult time. If they would allow more code, I could have a lot more done by now.

Although I have no problem with shirts that "look like" something the other team wears. I don't like the idea of covering a hopper cover with anything red. I don't believe this is in nature of the rules.

Hopper covers and wrist bands should NOT be messed with.

Covering your hopper cover is NOT in the spirit of the game, can be defined as cheating, and if caught, WILL get you a nice big "X" on your hopper cover.

That's very true. If I see you doing that, I'll get the ref on you myself.

Reminds me of the two "ESPN" crew guys that were really germans and started barrel tagging all the officers.

We need to find out how the germans will look this year, and ill dress like that, and get in the trenches with them, that would be fun! I'd love to risk being shot at by a few 100 people lol
